"I went from going home every day and working for hours on lessons or grading papers to maybe spending a total of about an hour a day. It’s made my workload 80% less, and as a teacher, that’s a lot."
Dana
Teacher, White Township Consolidated School
When White Township Consolidated School in Belvidere, New Jersey, set out to prepare students to be “productive members of society,” middle school science teacher Dana Rochelle knew she needed more than just content coverage. She wanted a curriculum that would spark curiosity, build collaboration, and still align tightly to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).
She found that in Stile.
From day one, Dana noticed the difference. Students who once struggled with organization breathed a sigh of relief when they logged in. Assignments, deadlines, and feedback were all in one place. “It was seamless,” Dana said. “On day one, my students were so excited to have something that kept them incredibly organized.”
The change quickly extended beyond logistics. Hands-on labs and Stile’s discussion features shifted the classroom culture, giving students confidence to talk, debate, and think like scientists. Dana began running Socratic seminars for the first time—a practice her students now eagerly anticipate.
“My students have fallen in love with things like Socratic seminars, which I never did before. Stile introduced me to that, walked me through it, and I’ve never seen students more engaged.”
For Dana herself, the shift was just as profound. Instead of cobbling together lessons from multiple sources, she found everything ready to teach—and directly aligned to the standards she needed to cover.
“When I first looked at Stile, I went through every single lesson to ensure it aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. It works perfectly. Every lesson is in the curriculum, and if something isn’t exactly where I want it, I can move it with the click of a button.”
That confidence and clarity translated into hours saved. Dana estimates that Stile has reduced her workload by as much as 80 percent, freeing her to focus on students instead of paperwork.
“I went from going home every day and working for hours on lessons or grading papers to maybe spending a total of about an hour a day. It’s made my workload 80% less, and as a teacher, that’s a lot.”
Her students have felt the impact too. Grades have improved, accountability has increased, and learners who once fell behind are now able to access materials at home—even joining live lessons remotely if they’re absent.
“Stile makes my days easier, my workload lighter, and it gives my students a quality education,” Dana said. “It’s been a complete game-changer.”
