Curriculum built for your standards

Deeply researched and thoughtfully-designed middle school science for classrooms in the Show Me State. Built with local phenomena and featuring fully customizable lessons Stile is aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards.

  • My favorite thing about Stile is that every feature in it is 100% customizable and editable by the teacher, so I can take the great platform that’s already there and make it work for my students.

  • What I like about Stile is that it isn’t students just staring at a screen, it is driving a conversation... This is by far the most excited I have been about curriculum.

    Zach

    Briggs Middle School

  • I think that out of all the curricula I've used, this one is very tech-savvy, and I believe students will be more engaged.

    Tavin

    Armand Larive Middle School

  • I don't have to make it engaging because it’s already engaging. It's just so editable, but it doesn't have to be. It's the perfect happy medium.

    McKenzie

    Siuslaw Middle School

  • Stile has the best customer service I’ve ever had in any part of my life.

    Lex

    Cheldelin Middle school

  • I wish I had this when I was a first year teacher.

    Jill

    Peak Charter Academy

  • I think the biggest complement that I saw in Stile was how easy it was to customize our lessons and make them specific to our region. The kids will be like, was this written for us?

    Delfino

    Hermiston School District

  • The combination of the quality of the curriculum and the support that you get from the team is unlike any other curriculum that I've worked with.

    Chelsea

    North Marion Middle School

  • It engages kids in a way that a normal book wouldn't, or that I can't on my own.

    Bettina

    German International School

  • I got the highest scores in the district! Thank you Stile!!

Designed for Missouri classrooms, and fully customizable

Thanks to Stile's powerful and customizable platform, we took the very best of our existing middle school science curriculum and blended it with brand-new lessons tailored for Missouri. The result is a seamless, structured, and sequenced middle school science curriculum for the state.

The best part? Every lesson is completely customizable so teachers can include local phenomena, differentiate based on student needs, and engage more students.

Real-world phenomena, from the Mississippi River to the Ozarks

Stile's phenomena are drawn from wonders all around the world. After all, it's important that students grow into global citizens. But sometimes, there's nothing more fascinating than investigating phenomena right where you live. Stile's curriculum for Missouri offers a balanced blend of local and global phenomena.

Unraveling the mighty Mississippi

The mighty Mississippi River meets the Missouri River at St. Louis, shaping the state's history, economy, and ecosystems. As students trace water's journey through this vast basin, they model how gravity and sunlight drive Earth's water cycle—deepening their understanding of systems and energy flow in the unit Earth Systems.

Alive in the dark

In Missouri's limestone caves, the elusive Ozark cavefish thrive in total darkness. Students explore how organisms adapt to extreme environments and examine how limited resources shape species evolution in the Ecosystems unit.

Little pests causing big problems

Students get the chance to investigate Missouri's invasive species from zebra mussels to kudzu in our Food Chains and Food Webs unit. They'll uncover how species interactions and human impacts disrupt biodiversity across the state.

Prepare your students for the Missouri science test

The Missouri 8th grade science test aims to measure students' science knowledge and critical thinking ability as part of the state assessment program. Stile's curriculum precisely scaffolds both of these, providing students with plenty of opportunities to practice and excel on the assessment.
