We believe great education is more important than profit, but know that commercial success is the engine that will advance our mission.
When forced to choose, we’ll choose to make what we do better; we’ll choose higher quality, even if that means short-term commercial sacrifice. We ultimately believe that doing the right thing, even though it may be harder and even painful in the short term, will create long-term value and enduring success for customers, shareholders and the community.
Our intention is to live within our means, but to continuously work to increase that means to have greater impact on more students. That means commercial success and viability is vital to continuing our mission, but we will be measured first by our impact on education and scientific literacy, and second on raw monetary profit.
