Andrew Blair sees Stile as an easy highway to get teachers to a place where their practice can seriously change.
Andrew Blair, the Director of Innovation in Education at Wesley, has deliberately avoided a “push” approach when Wesley College rolled out Stile in 2013. After a few workshops with key heads of learning, use has steadily grown to almost 300 teachers currently using it across three large campuses.
He sees Stile as having a role in improving pedagogy across the school: “Stile is an easy highway to get teachers to a place where their practice can seriously change. There’s an adage about teachers: they only change their behaviours after they change their beliefs. Stile, because of its simplicity and capacity, can change beliefs very quickly”.
