Students at St. Joseph’s College find work presented in Stile more interesting and easy to access
Brendan Leane ran an experiment with his Year 10 physical education class. He had just finished a semester when the deputy principal introduced everyone to Stile. He liked what he saw and used the same class to make a direct comparison, so he set up the entire next semester unit in Stile.
The results of the survey he ran after the semester were extremely positive. All of his students were “very happy” with Stile and found it easy to access and more interesting than traditional delivery. They liked the multimedia, exam format and the fact that work is never lost. Brendan himself observed that his students were more engaged and focused.
Further, although student work output had increased by a solid 30%, he was faster at giving feedback to students and felt more relaxed overall. Part of this was the streamlined, paperless workflow, self-paced access to learning resources and Stile’s real-time monitoring capabilities.
